The Romanian Institute for Europe-Asia Studies (IRSEA) welcomes Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to Romania, H.E. Mr. Muhammad Amhar Azeth, as our newest Honorary Member.
Indonesia's most distinguished voice in Romania, an active advocate of cultivating multilateral relations between peoples and countries of the world, Ambassador M. Amhar Azeth has been appointed by H.E. President Joko Widodo as Ambassador of Indonesia to Romania, resident in Bucharest and concurrently accredited to the Republic of Moldova, on February 20, 2018. He assumed responsibilities on May 29, 2018.
From the very first day of his arrival in Bucharest, Ambassador Azeth dedicated all his efforts, professionalism and outstanding expertise by showing a rich stimulating interestto find new avenues for encasing the bilateral relations so happily existing between Indonesia and Romania. Multiple and precious bridges between the Indonesian and Romanian peoples have been built and consolidated through his five year Ambassadorial Mandate.
A sincere promoter of a more robust interaction between Europe and Asia, particularly Romania and Indonesia,in the same spirit so strongly advocated by IRSEA,Ambassador Azeth actively took part in IRSEA’s projects andcontinuously supported the Romanian think-tank in its endeavors to enter into new partnerships with think-tanks in Indonesia.
At the presentation of the Honorary Membership of IRSEA by Ambassador (p) Gheorghe Savuica in person, which took placeat the farewell reception on the occasion of the completion of his diplomatic mission in Romania, held on Monday, 30 January, 2023, Ambassador Azeth manifested his will to continue supporting IRSEA’s excellent relations with Indonesian research and academic institutions.
IRSEA is honoured to work together with Ambassador Amhar Azeth in the spirit of Mutual Respect, Understanding and Dialogue.
Being a farewell moment, the two top-level diplomats and close friends (“kawan karib” in Indonesian language and “foarte buni prieteni” in Romanian language) wished each other greater success in their future activities, while looking forward to cordially maintaining a close contact.
