On October 17th, 2022, the Romanian Institute for Europe-Asia Studies (IRSEA), represented by its Founding President,H.E. Ambassador (p) Gheorghe Savuica, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Foreign Policy Community of Indonesia (FPCI), one of the most renowned think-tanks in Indonesia. FPCI has been represented by its Founder and Chairman, Ambassador Dr. Dino Patti Djalal.
The MoU comes in the aftermath of prior discussions between Ambassador (p) Savuica and Ambassador Djalal, as well as a video-conference held between IRSEA’s Founding President and Ambassador Iwan Wiranataatmadja (Choef Operating Officer of Global Town Hall, FPCI) and Ms. Steffani Alivia (Research and Program Associate, FPCI). Following the discussions, the two FPCI Ambassadors have launched the invitation for IRSEA to participate in the Global Town Hall 2022, an event that has gathered in its previous editions over 12000 people from 120 countries.
The two institutions envisage to strengthen relations and develop ways of cooperation in the areas of their respective foundational goals and objectives and to exchange information and perspectives in their mutual fields of interests.
The MoU has been facilitated with the generous support of H.E. Mr. Muhammad Amhar Azeth, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Indonesia to Romania.
Foreign Policy Community of Indonesia (FPCI) is a non-partisan, non-politic and independent foreign policy organisation established to discuss and introduce international relations issues to many relevant actors in Indonesia such as diplomats, ambassadors, government officials, academia, researchers, businesses, media, lecturers, think tanks, students and media. FPCI is also dedicated to study the most-pressing foreign policy issues in relates to ASEAN, geopolitics, middle powers, geo-economics and diaspora. The organisation aims to be a facilitator that can bring the “world” to the region and simultaneously bring grassroots and regional thoughts to the national and world stage.
