IRSEA’s President and Founder, H.E. Ambassador (p) Gheorghe Savuica paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Zafar Iqbal, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Pakistan to Romania.
During the visit, Ambassador (p) Savuica congratulated Ambassador Iqbal for his new posting and wished him a great success in all his endeavors while looking forward to further strengthening the relations between Romania and Pakistan.
As a former Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania to Pakistan and a lifetime member of the Society of Asian Civilisations, Ambassador Săvuică has been actively involved in promoting the relations between the two countries, both as a high-ranking diplomat, during his four decade-long career in the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as the President of IRSEA, after his retirement from the Ministry.
Since 2008, IRSEA has signed numerous agreements and conducted significant cooperation projects with major think-tanks and research institutes in Pakistan, such as the Institute for Strategic Studies, the Institute for Regional Studies and Islamabad Policy Research Institute, to name only a few.
As a strong regional actor, one of the fastest growing economies and a center of academic excellence in South Asia, Pakistani research institutions remain not only a time-tested friend of IRSEA, but, similarly, an outstanding partner for future cooperative research, dialogue and mutual growth.
