IRSEA grants Honorary Membership Award to Malaysian Ambassador Abdullah Zawawi bin Tahir

In the light of the outstanding diplomatic expertise of H.E Abdullah Zawawi bin Tahir, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Malaysia to Romania, as well as his great contributions to further strengthening the so happily existing ties between Romania and Malaysia, IRSEA has awarded His Excellency the status of Honorary Member.

The Honorary Membership Certificate has been handed over by H.E. Ambassador (p) Gheorghe Savuica, President and Founder of IRSEA.

The occasion also represented a farewell visit, as the mandate of H.E. Ambassador bin Tahir will be completed in the near future. The two Ambassadors evoked the excellent diplomatic relations between Romania and Malaysia and manifested their mutual will to continue supporting their development, as well as encourage further exchange of people and ideas between the two countries.

Among the main achievements in the bilateral relations between Romania and Malaysia, the two Ambassadors stressed upon the bilateral cooperation in mutually important fields for both national economies of their two countries. Ambassador Savuica, recalling his initiative to found, in 2008, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Romania-Malaysia, which could be considered as a major milestone in the bilateral economic relations, added that founding a Malaysia-Romania chamber of commerce would be a similarly significant expression of the excellent cooperation between the two Nations.

In his concluding remarks, Ambassador Savuica reiterated IRSEA’s commitment to Mutual Respect, Understanding and Dialogue with like-minded institutions from Malaysia and restated the Institute’s desire to further encourage academics, researchers and professionals from Romania and Malaysia to work together for a more robust interaction across Europe and Asia.
