ASEAN remains divided on the Myanmar crisis, with internal rifts undermining efforts to implement its Five-Point Consensus. China’s influence has pressured ASEAN to act, but its reliance on external forces challenges its credibility. As Myanmar’s crisis deepens, ASEAN faces a pivotal moment — its ability to present a unified response will determine its regional leadership and relevance in the evolving geopolitical landscape.
