On January 12, 2022, H.E. Ambassador (p) Gheorghe Savuica, President and Founder of the Romanian Institute for Europe-Asia Studies (IRSEA), participated at the Meeting of the Evaluation Commission of ARACIS- REI – English of the Bucharest University of Economic Studies (ASE) in his capacity as Council Member of the Faculty of International Business and Economic (REI).
The meeting has been occasioned by the on-going accreditation process of a new programme of undergraduate studies taught entirely in English.
On the occasion, Ambassador (p) Savuica congratulated all the faculty members for their outstanding activity, commitment and dedication in the past five years of the current accreditation, noticing the growing engagement of the faculty with international stakeholders as well as the increasing number of international guest lectures organised by the institution, in which IRSEA played a significant role as Partner of ASE for quite a long time.
As President of IRSEA and member of the Consultative Council of ASE-REI, Ambassador (p) Savuica presented the scope and significance of IRSEA’s national and international cooperation projects and stressed the perceptiveness and laborious engagement of the ASE-REI students – direct beneficiaries of all these activities.
IRSEA’s President strongly supported the continuation of all the on-going undergraduate and postgraduate programmes nurtured by the Faculty and expressed his belief that the new undergraduate programme – taught in English language – will add value to the currently existing programmes and lead to many brilliant batches of students nurtured by ASE. He also noticed the students’ robust and consistent interest for further deepening their understanding of the international arena, from both economic and political standpoint.
After his retirement from the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador (p) Savuica established IRSEA as a source of inspiration and formative institution for junior scholars and young professionals, thus continuing his commitment to a more robust cooperation between Europe and Asia.
As time-tested partner of ASE-REI, IRSEA has been advocating, through its President Founder Ambassador (p) Savuica, an ever-consolidating interaction between Europe and Asia by bringing together students, faculty members and international guest lecturers, facilitating seminars and webinars and lecturing on Applied Diplomacy – a periodic project led by the President of IRSEA, particularly with the students for the Master for Diplomacy, conducted and chaired by Prof. Anca Gabriela Ilie, Ph.D, Vice-Dean, Faculty of International Business and Economic.
