In the light of its efforts of promoting a more robust interaction between Europe and Asia and considering the Institute's outstanding research and event organising activities, the Romanian Institute for Europe-Asia Studies - IRSEA was invited to join the European Alliance for Asian Studies - EEAS.
The ceremony was hosted at the Madrid Autonomous University, where IRSEA's President and Founder, H.E. Ambassador Gheorghe Săvuică, delivered a key note speech where he manifested his sincere hopes for a fruitful cooperation with tangible results.
Established in 2008 by H.E. Ambassador Gheorghe Săvuică, IRSEA is Romania's oldest think-tank to engage in „second track diplomacy” in Asia, conduct research and organise activities on Europe-Asia relations and the first Central and Eastern European think-tank invited to join the prestigious EAAS. IRSEA is dedicated to a more robust interaction between Europe and Asia, in a spirit of mutual respect and partnership.
Established in 1997, EAAS is a cooperative platform of European research institutes and think-tanks conducting research on Asia. EAAS aimed to raise public awareness on Europe-Asia relations and facilitate a broader cooperation among Asia-experts in Europe.
