On April 13, 2021, H.E. Rahul Shrivastava, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Romania, Moldova and Albania, held a webinar for the postgraduate students of the Bucharest University of Economic Students (ASE).
The Indian Ambassador offered a comprehensive presentation of India’s Foreign Policy and the evolution of India’s diplomatic relations with Romania. Among the main subjects approached figured India’s fascinating history, geography and culture, the country’s guiding principles in foreign policy, India’s neighborhood policy, as well as the country’s relations with Romania, EU, the United States, China and Russia.
The audience, postgraduate students for Master’s Degree in Economic Diplomacy, availed themselves of the wonderful opportunity to address pertinent questions to the Indian Ambassador and exchange views on building new venues to further strengthen the Romanian-Indian bilateral relations and know more about India’s unique cultural diversity, fascinating history and multilateral views of a rules-based international order.
The webinar was hosted by Prof. Dr. Anca Ilie, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of International Economic Relations, ASE, and Honorary Member of IRSEA and moderated by H.E. Ambassador Gheorghe Savuica, President and Founder of IRSEA.
As one of Romania's longest serving career diplomats, former Head of the Mission to Cyprus, Estonia, Finland, Indonesia, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and the Philippines and former Director-General of the Asia-Pacific, Near and Middle East, Africa and Latin America Department of the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Ambassador Gheorghe Savuica commended the excellent ties between Romania and India, manifesting his highest hopes for further strengthening them through people-to-people exchanges, dialogue and cooperation.
